What happens if my Medicare Advantage plan ends or leaves my area?

Read every letter from your plan carefully. If your plan is discontinued, its contract is not renewed, or it no longer serves your area, you may have a limited time to choose another plan. If you do not select a new Medicare Advantage plan, you may be returned to Original Medicare. In certain situations, you may also have a guaranteed issue right to purchase a Medicare Supplement plan. Keep your termination notices because they may be required when applying for new coverage.
