When is a good time to start preparing for the Annual Election Period?

You should receive your annual notice of change in September that details the changes for the upcoming year of your Part D prescription plan or Medicare Advantage plan. The new plans for the upcoming year will be available on October 1st, and you can enroll in a plan starting October 15th. So, you can start preparing in September.
